Overview Blackwood Management, Inc. is a leading Association management company in Fredericksburg, VA and we're thrilled to announce an immediate opening for a Financial Manager to join our dynamic team. If you're a seasoned financial professional with a minimum of 3 years' accounting experience (association management background preferred), we want you to bring your talents to our growing organization. As a Financial Manager with Blackwood Management, you'll be at the helm of our association management financial operations. Your expertise will drive the accurate management of financial records and reports, ensuring that budgets are finely tuned for maximum efficiency. Your meticulous attention to detail will shine as you navigate multiple tasks while maintaining impeccable deadlines. Duties Lead the preparation and interpretation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with
GAAP, IFRS, IAS
standards, and industry regulations. Oversee budgeting processes, financial projection model development, and forecasting activities to support strategic planning initiatives. Manage treasury functions including cash flow analysis, investment management, and risk assessment to optimize fiscal stability. Conduct detailed account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting to maintain precise financial records. Develop and implement financial policies related to revenue management, cost control, ASC 606 compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements. Supervise the finance team in day-to-day operations such as accounts payable/receivable, cost accounting, and financial report writing. Utilize data analytics tools and Excel data analysis techniques to enhance financial insights and support decision-making processes. Qualifications We're seeking a candidate with a robust financial background and a flair for precision. Your exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, will be integral as you collaborate with diverse stakeholders. A track record of reliability, enthusiasm, and a strong inclination to learn and follow directions are essential traits we're looking for in our ideal candidates.
