Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Closing Department Manager to oversee the daily operations of a high-volume closing team within a fast-paced financial services environment. This individual will be responsible for managing workflows, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining service standards, and leading a team focused on operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a hands-on approach to driving team productivity and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the closing department, including pipeline oversight and workload distribution
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of closing professionals and support staff
• Monitor departmental productivity, turnaround times, and quality standards
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements
• Develop and maintain operational procedures, quality controls, and workflow processes
• Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, escalations, and operational issues
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and executive leadership
• Maintain a high level of customer service and operational efficiency in a deadline-driven environment

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of mortgage closing experience required
• 2+ years of management or supervisory experience required
• Experience with Encompass loan origination software required
• Strong understanding of mortgage closing regulations and compliance standards
• Ability to manage high-volume workflows and multiple deadlines
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
