Job Description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for maintaining the company's financial records and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all accounting transactions. This individual will oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales tax filings while assisting with monthly financial reporting. This is a very hands-on position with Quad Chemical Corporation in Virginia Beach, VA. No phone calls please. Submit resume through Indeed. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Financial Officer. Primary Responsibilities Payroll & Human Resources Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time Maintain employee records and payroll documentation Administer payroll deductions and benefits Prepare quarterly payroll tax return filings in multi states Prepare annual W-2s and 1099s Accounts Payable Process vendor invoices Schedule and prepare weekly check runs Wire payments to certain vendors Review monthly statements for delinquent invoices Accounts Receivable Generate invoices with matching of purchase and shipping documents Monitor collections and aging reports Follow up on outstanding receivables Apply customer payments to accounts receivable Tax & Compliance Prepare and file multi state sales tax returns Other Duties Maintain organized accounting records Assist CEO and CFO with special financial projects Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred Minimum 5 years of full-charge bookkeeping or accounting experience Sage Peachtree experience preferred Experience in a distribution industry preferred Experience in the chemical industry a plus. Microsoft Excel skills Experience processing payroll Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Experience preparing sales tax returns Excellent communication skills Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail Compensation based on experience.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
