Accounting Manager - Hybrid Gig Harbor, WA | $100K-$110K | Direct Hire CV Resources is partnering with a growing multi-location organization in Gig Harbor, WA to identify an Accounting Manager to join its corporate accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded accounting professional who enjoys multi-entity accounting, partnering with operations, and improving processes in a growing environment. The organization has experienced significant growth and is restructuring its accounting and finance function to support its expanding operations. This position will report directly to the CFO, work alongside an established accounting team, and have significant visibility across the organization. For the right individual, this role also offers a strong long-term growth path with the potential to develop into an Assistant Controller or Controller position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead month-end close and financial reporting across multiple entities and operating locations. Review general ledger activity, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. Oversee and support accounting activities across AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions. Ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and consistent across multiple entities. Partner closely with the CFO, accounting team, operational leaders, and other stakeholders. Support cash management, forecasting, banking activities, and financial analysis. Assist with external audits, tax support, compliance requirements, and internal controls. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, workflows, and automation. Help implement scalable accounting practices as the organization continues to grow. Provide guidance, training, and support to accounting team members. Participate in technology and automation initiatives, including opportunities to leverage AI and other tools to improve efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong multi-entity accounting experience required. Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Experience working across AP, AR, payroll, reporting, and other accounting functions. Experience supporting multiple locations, properties, business units, or operating entities strongly preferred. Yardi experience strongly preferred. Advanced Excel skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with both accounting and operational stakeholders. Leadership, training, mentoring, or supervisory experience preferred.
CPA, CPA
candidate, or interest in pursuing a CPA is a plus. Interest in process improvement, technology, AI, and accounting automation highly valued.
