Job Description:
The Finance Data Platform Specialist supports the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing operation of Platform, working closely with Finance, Accounting, Data Engineering, Data Architecture, and business stakeholders. The role focuses on finance-related data domains including commissions, banking, general ledger (GL), financial reporting, attribution, reconciliations, policy administration, and reference data. The ideal candidate possesses analytical skills, experience with enterprise financial systems, and the ability to get technical with data analysis, in SQL and problem solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for finance data initiatives Prepare user stories, business rules, process flows, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria Support initiatives involving commissions, banking, general ledger (GL), financial reporting, attribution, reconciliations, policy administration, and enterprise finance data Work closely with Data Engineers and Data Architects to clarify business requirements and validate implemented solutions Perform data validation, reconciliation, and functional testing to ensure data accuracy and business rule compliance Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, and production validation Assist with troubleshooting production issues, performing functional analysis, and validating issue resolution Support data mapping, reference data, hierarchies, metadata, and business glossary activities Maintain functional documentation, process documentation, and operational procedures Participate in platform enhancements, process improvements, and release activities Collaborate with Data Governance teams to support data quality, metadata, and business definitions Utilize SQL to analyze, validate, and troubleshoot enterprise finance data
