Location County Comptroller Full/Part Time Full-Time Regular/Temporary Regular Overview A Revenue Specialist performs specialized clerical and accounting work, involving compilation, maintenance, and verification of diverse statistical, fiscal, and bookkeeping records and accounts. Work detail varies considerably according to the department or work area assigned. A Revenue Specialist is expected to exercise independent judgment to solve most problems that arise within their assigned work. Duties are reviewed by general observation and through periodic audit of records and transactions by the section supervisor.
Representative Duties Note:
The below description may not be representative of all duties and responsibilities for this position. Maintains ledger files, receipt books, and various other accounting records in accordance with records retention guidelines for governmental agencies. Examines financial records for accuracy and thoroughness according to prescribed standards. May maintain a petty cash and stamp fund and disburses such cash upon presentation of valid documentation. Assists in the preparation of statistical statements and reports. Performs pre-audit functions for receipts. Checks daily receipts against data run, verifies bank balance reports and revenue reports, receives revenue, makes deposits, audits bank deposits and prepares deposit receipts, balances cash registers and cash drawers, and other revenue funds under employee's control. Interacts with vendors, citizens, and other departmental personnel in relation to assigned duties. Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Information Starting Salary:
$22.16 per hour. Notes Must successfully pass background screening. The office has a non-tobacco use policy.
