401(k) 401(k) matching Paid time off Part-Time Accounting Coordinator $30.00 per Hour | 15-20 Hours per Week Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Accounting Coordinator to support the financial operations of our organization. This position is responsible for the day-to-day accounting and financial administration functions, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Working closely with the Chief of Operations, Executive Director, Treasurer, and Finance Committee, the Accounting Coordinator will maintain accounting records, manage accounts payable and receivable, reconcile accounts, track grants and restricted funds, and assist with audit preparation. The organization utilizes QuickBooks for accounting and ADP for payroll administration. This role supports payroll recordkeeping and reconciliation activities but does not approve or process payroll.Reports To:

Part-Time, 15-20 hours per weekCompensation:
$30.00 per hour Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and accounting transactions using QuickBooks. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis. Record deposits, donations, grants, and other organizational revenue. Prepare monthly financial reports, including budget-to-actual analyses. Monitor and track grant expenditures and restricted funds. Maintain organized financial files and supporting documentation. Coordinate with ADP and maintain payroll-related records. Record payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll-related accounts. Assist with annual budget preparation and financial planning activities. Prepare documentation and schedules for annual audits, Form 990 preparation, and compliance reporting. Provide financial information and reporting support to the Executive Director, Treasurer, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors as needed. Qualifications Required Minimum of three years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience. Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Experience working in a nonprofit environment. Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles. Experience tracking grants and restricted funding. Experience preparing financial reports for boards, committees, or leadership teams. Internal Controls and Financial Oversight To maintain appropriate financial controls and segregation of duties, the Accounting Coordinator is responsible for recording and reporting financial transactions but does not: Approve expenditures Authorize payments Approve payroll Determine employee compensation Establish financial policies Financial oversight and approval authority remain with the Executive Director, Treasurer, Finance Committee, and Board of Directors.
