Denver, CO About the Client This boutique investment bank focuses on companies operating across the broader business services ecosystem, with particular strength advising organizations in sectors such as engineering‑driven services, construction‑related services, building materials, environmental services, and other essential operational business services. The firm is recognized for its deep sector expertise, having completed numerous transactions within these service-oriented markets, including mergers & acquisitions, strategic advisory engagements, and ownership transition solutions.
Job Summary:
The firm seeks an Associate with 3-5 years of investment banking experience, ideally with exposure to M&A in business services or related sectors (e.g., engineering services, construction services, environmental services, or operational service businesses).
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior team members on business development, capital raising, and M&A transactions Prepare high-quality materials such as pitch books, financial models, information memorandums, and management presentations Conduct valuation work, oversee modeling, and support transaction due diligence Review and guide junior team members' deliverables for accuracy and structure Engage directly with client leadership teams, supporting deal execution and process management Participate in buyer outreach efforts across private equity, lenders, and strategic acquirers
Requirements:
Minimum of three years in investment banking or M&A advisory (Analyst or Associate-level experience preferred) Strong analytical and accounting skills; advanced financial modeling proficiency Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
