Job Description

Jones Technical Institute is a trade and technical school located in Jacksonville, Florida, and we are seeking a dynamic, energetic, skilled, and knowledgeable individual to fill an open position as a Student Accounts Coordinator. The qualified candidate will serve as a primary point of contact for students regarding their financial obligations to the institution, including account balances, payment arrangements, and questions related to student accounts. This position is responsible for the administration and coordination of student payment plans, account follow-up, collection efforts, and accurate maintenance of student account information. The Student Accounts Coordinator will work closely with the Financial Services, Admissions, Academic, and other institutional teams to support students throughout their enrollment and ensure clear communication regarding their financial responsibilities. Special projects and/or other duties may also be assigned as deemed appropriate. The Student Accounts Coordinator will, in general, contribute to the planning and execution of Student Accounts efforts related to student financial accountability, retention, and successful completion of the enrollment process. Essential job duties include but are not limited to: Managing student account balances, payment arrangements, and outstanding financial obligations. Communicating with students regarding their financial responsibility to the institution and assisting with payment arrangements. Monitoring payment plans and conducting follow-up outreach regarding delinquent or missed payments. Supporting collection efforts for outstanding balances, including accounts of withdrawn, canceled, and graduated students. Maintaining accurate student account records and documentation, including payments, adjustments, refunds, and collection activity. Operating the institution's bookstore, including sizing students for uniforms and coordinating the quarterly distribution of uniforms and other courseware items. Processing retail merchandise sales, maintaining inventory and stock, and managing the bookstore cash drawer. Partnering with Financial Services, Admissions, Academic, Faculty, and Management teams to ensure effective coordination of student financial and fulfillment needs.
Education required:
Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree preferred. May substitute experience in the field for degree requirement.
