Banking Full Job Description Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer/member-oriented individual to join our team as a Member Services Representative. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members and assisting them with their financial needs. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping members with their transactions and has a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Duties:

• Assist members with various financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments
• Provide information on products and services offered by the credit union
• Process member requests for new accounts, loans, and credit cards
• Perform account maintenance tasks, such as address changes and account updates
• Handle member inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Utilize basic math skills to accurately balance cash drawer at the end of each shift
• Follow established procedures for fraud prevention and detection
• Promote financial products and services to members, including upselling opportunities

Experience:

• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a banking or financial services environment
• Familiarity with basic math concepts and ability to perform simple calculations
• Knowledge of debits, credits, and other fundamental banking principles
• Experience with loan processing is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial transactions
• Proficient in cash handling procedures and the use of cash registers or similar equipment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Must show up on time
• Must pass background check
