Job Description
Job Overview Assists in building valued financial relationships with our members by actively recommending and cross-selling TruNeighbor Credit Union products and services and answering all member inquires. Serves the membership of the Credit Union through the performance of basic teller functions, such as deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments. Processes incoming mail, maintains accounts records, cashes checks, and determines their negotiability. Serves as the personal image of the Credit Union, greeting members, visitors, and vendors in person and by phone. Responsibilities Actively cross-sell and open credit union products. Establish all services to members and potential members to meet their financial needs. Serve as the initial member contact on both telephone and walk-ins, providing routine information or conducting Credit Union services at the member's request, referring problems or special requests to appropriate staff members. Maintain a positive, professional image and a high degree of confidentiality within the workplace. Accurately open and close memberships as needed. Perform miscellaneous and related duties as assigned by CEO, Vice-President, Teller Supervisor, Branch Manager Requirements Be neat, maintain a pleasing appearance, and convey a warm, friendly personality. Answer all incoming calls in a professional, timely, and courteous manner, following established standards and guidelines for excellent member relations and efficiency. Have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of the Credit Union philosophy and services. Proactively support the "sales and service" culture. Utilize account information and ask pertinent questions to assess member's financial needs in order to offer the best products and services to cross-sell. Attend meetings, training courses, conferences and seminars.
