Experience Requirements Six months of medical billing experience preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office Accurate 10-key by touch and typing speed of 40-45 WPM Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Job Duties Process refunds for Medicare, Medicaid, Champus, Federal, and other accounts Assemble and submit documentation for refund approvals Answer customer service calls and assist with account inquiries Contact insurance carriers and guarantors regarding credit balances and payment issues Handle correspondence related to credit balances and refunds Process payment transfers and research canceled checks Retrieve and process NSF checks from secured websites Investigate unidentified payments and account discrepancies Report recurring account processing errors Maintain knowledge of ETM systems and procedures Support special projects and additional duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications Previous customer service, call center, retail, office support, or administrative experience is preferred. Experience working with CRM software, order processing systems, or customer databases is beneficial. Bilingual communication skills may be considered an asset depending on the position.
