Job Description
We are looking for an AML/KYC Analyst to join a Long-term Contract opportunity based in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will help strengthen compliance efforts by reviewing customer activity, assessing risk indicators, and documenting investigative findings with accuracy and professionalism. This position is well suited for someone who brings experience in financial crime review, sound analytical judgment, and the ability to communicate case outcomes clearly within a structured environment.

Responsibilities:
- Examine transactional activity, system-generated alerts, and related records to detect indicators of money laundering, sanctions exposure, fraud, or other suspicious activity.
- Conduct detailed case assessments, determine the level of risk presented, and recommend escalation when further investigation or reporting may be warranted.
- Create well-organized written case narratives that capture review steps, supporting evidence, conclusions, and proposed follow-up actions.
- Apply AML, KYC, and compliance knowledge to recognize unusual behavior patterns and evaluate cases against internal controls and risk standards.
- Carry out reviews with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established quality expectations within the compliance program.
- Use Excel and data analysis methods to sort information, identify notable patterns, and support fact-based investigative decisions.
- Complete all required onboarding and training activities while maintaining full availability throughout the approximately five-week training period.
- Assist with program-related workflow tasks, including proper documentation and compliance with virtual interview, hiring, and background screening processes when required.
