Description We are looking for an AML/KYC Analyst to support financial crimes compliance efforts through careful alert review, research, and case assessment in San Ramon, CA. This Long-term Contract position is well suited for a detail-oriented individual who can evaluate potentially suspicious activity, apply sound judgment, and produce clear investigative documentation. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to risk mitigation by analyzing transactional information, following regulatory expectations, and helping determine when additional review may be needed.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct first-level reviews of alerts to identify unusual or potentially suspicious financial activity.
• Assess investigative findings and decide when matters should be referred for deeper examination.
• Support the identification of situations that may warrant suspicious activity reporting based on documented evidence.
• Examine account and transaction data, synthesize relevant information, and record conclusions with clarity and accuracy.
• Perform targeted research using available systems and resources while maintaining compliance with applicable AML and KYC standards.
• Maintain organized case records and ensure all investigative steps are documented in accordance with policy expectations.
• Collaborate with compliance and risk stakeholders as needed to clarify findings and resolve alert-related questions. Requirements
• At least 3 years of overall business or functional experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in AML, KYC, risk, compliance, or financial crimes investigations.
• Bachelor's degree or higher is required.
• Familiarity with AML and KYC regulatory frameworks, including Bank Secrecy Act expectations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with data for investigative analysis.
• Strong analytical judgment with the ability to evaluate information and make well-reasoned decisions.
• Effective written communication skills with close attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
