We consist of a team of professionals ranging from Medical Assistants to Physician Assistants and everything in between. Our physician led medical group enjoys an excellent reputation with patients and the medical community, offering primary care, urgent care and more than 30 different specialties. Job Summary Authorization Coordinators are responsible for obtaining authorizations on all testing appointments. Also responsible for obtaining Insurance Referrals. They are to check the schedules weekly to make sure no new appointments have been added. They contact outside referring offices for authorization information on testing appointments. They obtain authorizations onside referrals as well, example is CTA, CT, MRI, any outside scans Registers Patients if needed Collaborates and communicates with Cardiology teams to ensure continuity of medical care, to include obtaining, clarifying, validating referral requests. Assists with the creation of standard work for insurance authorizations. Responds to all requests (email, website, phone, other) and inquiries to best coordinate a patient's appointment and needs. Contacts patients, families, medical providers and/or facilities to foster smooth transitions of care into the Practice. Reviews referring and transfer documents for accuracy and adherence to regulatory compliance and assuring the transitional care processes are implemented.
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 1 year as a medical receptionist or previous care coordination experience Direct customer service in the medical field We take great care of careers.
