Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dental Insurance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of dental insurance billing, ensuring accurate and timely claim submissions and maximizing reimbursement for our client dental practices. This is a non-patient facing role, focused on the back-end processes of dental insurance management.
Responsibilities:
Accurately process and submit dental insurance claims electronically and via paper. Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits. Post insurance payments and reconcile Explanation of Benefits (EOBs). Follow up on outstanding claims and appeals, resolving denials efficiently. Research and resolve claim discrepancies and coding issues. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient and insurance records. Stay informed on current dental insurance coding and billing regulations (e.g., CDT, HIPAA). Communicate effectively with insurance companies to resolve claim issues. Generate reports and analyze billing data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient processes.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in dental insurance billing. Strong understanding of dental terminology, CDT codes, and insurance claim processes. Proficiency in dental practice management software (we use Carestack). Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance.
