Communicate with insurance carriers via web, phone, and fax to obtain benefit and authorization requirements. Processing pre-service authorizations for radiology advanced imaging, injectable medications, DME, and surgical procedures. Register patients into Epic system, complete check-in process, obtain required signatures and collect co-payments. Broad knowledge of insurance carriers, computer literate, self starter, highly motivated candidates with excellent and outgoing customer service skills required. Minimum Qualifications High School degree or equivalent and 1-2 active/current years experience obtaining insurance authorizations from health insurance carriers and registering patient demographic into EMR system in medical office setting. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Epic EMR and extensive knowledge of various health insurance plans preferred. Once fully trained, there is an option to work hybrid (remote and in office).
