POSITION OVERVIEW GMIC

is seeking an experienced Property Field Claims Representative to manage property claims throughout an assigned Wisconsin territory. In this field-based position, you'll divide your time between inspecting losses in person and completing the related claim investigation, evaluation, documentation, and settlement work. You'll have the independence to manage your assigned claims while remaining closely connected with fellow adjusters, managers, and other GMIC team members. Most importantly, you'll help policyholders navigate property losses by making thoughtful coverage decisions, communicating clearly, and providing dependable service from initial investigation through resolution.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Investigate and Resolve Claims Manage property claims from initial assignment through final resolution Complete on-site inspections to determine the cause, scope, and value of damage Review coverage, establish appropriate reserves, and negotiate fair settlements Work with contractors, vendors, agents, and other involved parties to keep claims moving forward Support Our Policyholders Provide timely, professional, and compassionate assistance during stressful situations Maintain clear communication with policyholders throughout the claim process Represent GMIC professionally when interacting with insureds, agents, contractors, and vendors Recognize potential indicators of fraud and refer concerns when appropriate Contribute to the Claims Team Partner with other adjusters and leadership when evaluating claim strategy Exchange knowledge and best practices with team members Participate in claims meetings, training, and process-improvement initiatives Maintain Quality Claim Files Document claim activity accurately and thoroughly Manage assignments and follow-up responsibilities in an organized and timely manner Comply with applicable regulations, company procedures, and claim-handling standards

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will bring: Working knowledge of property claims, estimating practices, and construction concepts Strong investigative, negotiation, and decision-making abilities The ability to independently organize and manage multiple claims Excellent written and verbal communication skills A commitment to responsive, high-quality customer service Comfort working with claims-management systems, Microsoft Office, and field technology

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Three to seven years of property claim adjusting experience Professional designation such as AIC or CPCU preferred Valid Wisconsin driver's license

WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL

Field-based position combining property inspections with administrative claim responsibilities Regular travel within an assigned Wisconsin territory Regular opportunities for in-person collaboration with colleagues and leadership
