In this vital role, you will manage medical billing processes, handle insurance claims, and ensure accurate coding and documentation. Your expertise will help streamline claims processing, improve revenue cycle management, and provide exceptional support to patients and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly organized, and possesses a strong understanding of healthcare claims management and medical coding standards. Duties Review and process healthcare insurance claims using billing software, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Apply appropriate medical coding including, CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10, and ICD coding to categorize diagnoses and procedures accurately. Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility to facilitate smooth claim submission. Manage medical collections by following up on unpaid or denied claims with insurance companies or patients. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify billing details or resolve discrepancies related to medical records or coding. Utilize Microsoft Office tools for reporting, data entry, and record keeping related to billing activities. Qualifications Proven experience in medical office administration with a focus on billing, coding, or insurance claims processing. Strong knowledge of health insurance policies, healthcare claims management, and medical terminology. Familiarity with , CPT coding, ICD-10, ICD coding systems, EMR/EHR systems, and billing software platforms. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance representatives. Prior experience working within healthcare claims management or medical collections is highly desirable.
