Life & Health Insurance Agent (Medicare Focus) - Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Life & Health Insurance Agent with experience or background knowledge in Medicare products and senior market solutions. This individual will assist clients in evaluating insurance needs, educating them on available coverage options, and recommending personalized life, health, and Medicare-related insurance solutions. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping individuals make informed healthcare and financial protection decisions. Key Responsibilities Educate clients on life and health insurance products, including individual and family health plans Assist Medicare-eligible clients with understanding: Medicare Advantage Plans Medicare Supplement (Medigap) Plans Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plans Conduct policy reviews and needs assessments to identify appropriate coverage solutions Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and follow-up Generate new business through referrals, networking, community outreach, and lead follow-up Stay current on Medicare guidelines, compliance standards, and carrier product updates Process applications accurately and ensure all documentation is compliant and complete Collaborate with carriers and internal teams to resolve policy or service-related issues Maintain active licensing and complete continuing education requirements Qualifications Active Life & Health Insurance License required Previous insurance sales or customer service experience preferred Working knowledge of Medicare products and senior market insurance solutions Strong communication and consultative sales skills Ability to explain complex insurance concepts in a clear and professional manner Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite preferred Preferred Experience Experience selling Medicare Advantage, Supplement, or Part D plans Background working with senior clients or retirement planning solutions Bilingual abilities are a plus AHIP certification preferred (if applicable) Core Competencies Relationship Building Client Education Medicare Knowledge Problem Solving Attention to Detail Compliance Awareness Sales & Cross-Selling Customer Service Excellence Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary and/or commission structure Bonus opportunities Health benefits Paid training and continuing education support Flexible schedule options Career growth opportunities within the organization
