Build a Career With Growth Potential. John Costa State Farm is looking for a sales-focused Acquisition Specialist to join the agency in Kearny, NJ. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting with people, uncovering needs, and confidently guiding conversations toward a close. We are looking for someone who is motivated by goals, comfortable with follow-up and prospecting, and excited by the opportunity to grow their income through strong sales performance. Spanish or Portuguese fluency is preferred, but not required. What Success Looks Like in This Role You will spend your time developing new business opportunities, following up with prospects, identifying coverage needs, and helping customers understand the value of the insurance products available to them.
Salary Range:
$60,000.00
- $80,000.

Previous insurance or State Farm experience is a plus, but it is not required. Spanish or Portuguese fluency is preferred, but not required. Licensing Before Your Start Date This opportunity is contingent upon becoming fully licensed before your first day of employment.
You will need to obtain:
Property & Casualty license Life license The agency will provide guidance and support throughout the licensing process to help you complete the required steps before your start date. Responsibilities A strong candidate will be comfortable: Starting sales conversations with new and existing customers Asking thoughtful questions to uncover insurance needs Presenting coverage options clearly and confidently Following up consistently with leads and prospects Overcoming objections and asking for the sale Cross-selling additional products when appropriate Asking for referrals and creating new business opportunities Managing an active pipeline and staying organized with follow-up Working toward individual and agency production goals
