Hourly base pay plus commission and bonus opportunities About the Position The J. Fox Agency is looking for a confident, motivated, and customer-focused Insurance Sales Agent to join our Sylvania office. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys speaking with customers, identifying their needs, and turning everyday service conversations into sales opportunities. This is primarily an inbound sales position—not a traditional cold-calling role. You will handle approximately 20 or more incoming calls each day, assist current and prospective customers, provide insurance quotes, and identify additional coverage opportunities. This is a fully in-office position and is not available as a remote role. Responsibilities Answer and professionally handle 20 or more inbound calls per day Provide auto, home, renters, motorcycle, umbrella, and other insurance quotes Identify sales opportunities during customer service conversations Review customers' existing coverage and recommend appropriate protection Cross-sell and bundle insurance products based on customer needs Follow up with prospective customers and incomplete quotes Explain policy coverages, deductibles, discounts, and payment options clearly Maintain accurate notes and customer information in agency systems Meet established monthly sales and production goals Build long-term relationships through knowledgeable and dependable service Make outbound follow-up calls when necessary What We're Looking For Confident and professional phone communication Strong customer service and sales skills Comfortable asking questions and recommending additional products Ability to manage a steady volume of inbound calls Dependable, punctual, organized, and goal-oriented Comfortable working in a performance-driven environment Willingness to learn insurance products, coverage contracts, and agency procedures Previous insurance, sales, call center, banking, or customer service experience is preferred An active Ohio Property and Casualty insurance license is preferred Candidates without a license must be willing and able to obtain the required licensing What We Offer Hourly base pay plus commission Bonus opportunities based on performance Health benefits Paid training and ongoing coaching Inbound leads and existing customer opportunities Clear performance expectations and advancement opportunities Supportive, team-focused office environment Opportunity to build a long-term career with a growing local agency Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday In-person at our Sylvania, Ohio office About the J.
