As a CRE Underwriter, you'll review and analyze CRE loan applications, evaluate financial and credit data, and make informed decisions that support both member success and sound lending practices. You'll also serve as a trusted partner to internal teams, providing guidance on credit quality, risk, and loan structuring.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for underwriting, reviewing, and managing an assigned CRE including Construction loan portfolio. Perform analysis of project economics, historical income, and pro forma income. Review appraisals, title work, and collateral verification. Perform credit analysis for CRE and Construction projects. Produce comprehensive credit memorandums and underwriting presentations. Manage underwriting standards under the lending policies, procedures, and compliance regulations. Perform annual review and periodic portfolio monitoring. Assist in risk rating review and criticized asset monitoring.
Competencies:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills. Proven experience as a loan underwriter, credit officer, or similar role Strong skills in financial. analysis, research methodologies, and investment management strategies. Proficiency in financial software tools for analysis and reporting purposes. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly to Clients. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Knowledge of tax implications related to investments is a plus
Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements:
