Job Description

The Asset and Fleet Manager is responsible for the training, staffing, and scheduling of maintenance staff to ensure the effective operation of equipment at all contracted facilities. Works diligently to minimize equipment downtime and performs preventive maintenance tasks to minimize costs and protect company assets. Establishes vendor sources, orders all parts, and ensures adequate inventory levels to expedite repairs and minimize expenses. Adheres to and assists in the training and supervision of safe work practices for all mechanical tasks performed by service workers, warehouse workers, and maintenance staff. Assesses the viability, ROI, and operations impact of robotic solutions in the delivery of facility services. Responsible for day-to-day management and implementation of company-approved purchasing policies for equipment, parts inventory; preventive maintenance schedules; urgent repairs of key equipment assets; all maintenance staff schedules; warehouse and shop maintenance; tool inventory; training; routines and quality assurance.
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the company. Complete knowledge of all related skill area machines and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the management group to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of the company.
  • Work with Business Operations Support Services to ensure proper recording processes are utilized for inventory control, shortages, inventory turns, and control policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for a group of technicians and maintenance staff who perform work with a constant awareness of improving processes necessary for positive growth. Encourages others and self to assume responsibilities in the normal course of their daily work and provides assistance to help develop their own level of commitment.
  • Leads the evaluation of robotic technologies and automated cleaning solutions for integration into Prestige USA's service delivery model, including pilot program design, cost-benefit analysis, and scalability assessment.
  • Formulates and recommends policies and programs to senior management that guide the company in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation.
  • Evaluates new equipment and makes recommendations for use, safe practices, training, preventative maintenance, purchasing, and maintenance parts inventory levels.
  • Maintain a library of literature relating to: Machine and equipment specifications, manuals, maintenance procedures and standards, safe practices, OSHA regulations and standards, company tracking measures, training concerns due to mistreatment of assets. Ensures the right equipment is in operation for the job at hand.
  • Strives to improve efficiency and reduce costs in those areas that report to him/her.
Acts as an advisor to subordinates to meet schedules, maintain assets, and/or resolve conflicts. Manages company reports and strives to meet company expectations on performance with focus on frequency of repairs, cost of repairs, approval of repairs, completion and timing expectations, preventative maintenance completion and performance, inventory turns and fiscal on hand quantities and dollar management programs.
  • Actively participates and attends weekly staff meetings and monthly management meetings. Actively participates and contributes to the company safety meetings and programs.
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action with-in area of influence.

Secondary Functions:
  • Support Executive Management as it relates to training, quality control, safety, risk and store visits to promote the Prestige Maintenance USA Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Performs internal audits for compliance to company standards and addresses non-conformities from current and past internal or external audits on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Incorporates shop/warehouse organization and cleanliness standards among personnel.
