Job Description

Description:
To assist members with their commercial lending needs, input and analyze loan requests, and recommend credit decisions based on commercial lending policy. Assists commercial loan officers in preparing and processing documents related to commercial lending, ensuring timely processing and maintenance of commercial loans.
Requirements:
Experience:
Three year to five years of similar or related experience.
Education:
A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills:
Works involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills General:
Good verbal and written communication skills, including good grammar and diction; attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and change attention focus quickly. Proficiency in the use of an adding machine/ten-key calculator and keyboarding of 30 WPM are preferred. Self-motivation to complete job tasks as assigned.
Leadership:
Works well with others and ensure understanding by others of technical terms, jargon, and work scope. Ability to effectively communicate and present technical results and their business impacts.
Technological:
Experience with Branch Suite, Loan PQ, Xpress, Compliance One, and Calyx strongly preferred. Ability to create presentations using software (PowerPoint, Prezi.)
Industry-Specific:
Very strong knowledge of products offered by Alabama Credit Union. Thorough understanding of loan underwriting concepts and lending risks, as well as corporate and personal financial statements, cash flow, and tax returns.
Physical Requirements:
During the course of a normal workday, incumbents will sit, stand, walk, see, hear, reach, use gross and fine motor coordination for activities such as using standard office machines, using paper (to include counting cash, sorting and filling paper items, etc.), and occasionally lift and carry incidental items such as supplies.
