We are hiring a Home Equity Specialist who will educate Members and potential Members about home equity loans and lines of credit. Will build home equity loan portfolios by originating, processing, and pre-underwriting home equity loans. Business Hours Monday
  • Friday 8:30AM
  • 5:30PM & Saturday 9:00AM
  • 1:00PM Based upon business needs, our positions may require working flexible hours, including rotating Saturdays .

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of similar sales/origination experience in Real Estate or Mortgage Sales, Credit Union, Banking, Financial Services or Lending companies. Strong working knowledge/experience with Encompass and Symitar. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or equivalent experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficient in all applicable MS Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) Excellent oral and written communication, human relations and negotiating skills. Proficient math skills

Maintain a working knowledge of policies and procedures necessary to effectively perform job duties. Excellent Member Service skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Home Equity Specialist performs a variety of duties within established department policies, guidelines, and procedures, under the direction of the Production Manager/Vice President of Real Estate. Acts as subject matter expert on home equity lending for branches and Member Care Center by maintaining superior working knowledge of CU SoCal home equity products. Identifies financial needs of Members and potential members. Obtains home equity applications and informs Members of current rates, loan programs and promotions. Discloses all home equity files timely and in accordance with all applicable regulations. Ensures that borrower loan documentation is complete, accurate and complies with company requirements including calculating debt ratios, verifying income, reading credit reports, and entering liabilities in our systems. Reviews credit, income, asset, and property documentation to submit an approvable package to underwriting Communicates regularly with Members, manages expectations, provides assistance throughout the loan process, obtains any necessary outstanding items, and shares turn times and closing dates. Ensures that all loan files meet all regulatory/RESPA requirements through all phases of the loan file. Informs member of terms and conditions of approved loans, lending policies, stipulations, collateral requirements, and repayment terms. Monitors home equity pipeline to help ensure loans are funded within 30 days of origination. Complete understanding and active application the

Min. $24.44 / Mid. $30.74 / Max. $36.07
