Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Escrow Officer to join our team and facilitate smooth real estate transactions from start to finish. Responsibilities Oversee the entire escrow process for real estate transactions, including opening, managing, and closing escrow accounts. Conduct comprehensive title searches using title records and public records to verify property ownership and identify any liens or encumbrances. Review legal descriptions, easements, and other real estate documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with local laws. Utilize real estate transaction management software and mapping software to prepare and review escrow documents efficiently. Perform title review and processing in accordance with underwriting guidelines while adhering to legal requirements for real estate law. Communicate proactively with clients, agents, lenders, and attorneys to provide updates, clarify documentation needs, and resolve issues promptly. Research property histories, title records, and public records to support accurate title clearance and facilitate smooth closings. Ensure proper handling of legal descriptions, easements, rights-of-way (Right-of-way), and other critical property details during the escrow process. Maintain meticulous records of all escrow activities, title searches, mappings, and correspondence for audit purposes. Support the team in managing real estate closing procedures from initial agreement through final transfer of ownership. Experience RBJ knowledge is a must Proven experience as an Escrow Officer or in a similar role within a law office or real estate environment. Strong knowledge of real estate law, title processing, title review procedures, and underwriting guidelines adherence. Familiarity with real estate documentation review including legal descriptions, easements, rights-of-way (Right-of-way), and mapping software such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems). Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for document preparation and communication purposes. Experience working with real estate transaction management software to streamline processes. Excellent research skills for investigating title history using public records and conducting detailed title searches. Exceptional client communication skills coupled with a customer service-oriented approach to ensure positive interactions throughout the transaction process. Ability to interpret complex legal descriptions and ensure compliance with all relevant laws during escrow processing.
