Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a
SEASONED
Escrow Officer that can hit the ground running. Escrow Assistants or Escrow Officers with less than 5-years experience need not apply. The Escrow Officer will be responsible for escrow files from open to close in a national services organization. The ideal candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skills, will write instructions and correspondences, is detail-oriented, possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and have the ability to anticipate problems before they arise. A successful Escrow Officer will drive results, consistently meet deadlines, deliver superior customer service, demonstrate strong follow through and comply with departmental procedures. Candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-oriented environment.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Review purchase and sale agreements with focus on duties and responsibilities of the escrow holder
  • Monitor and follow through on actions established in the purchase and sale agreement
  • Insure that funds required are received and that all necessary parties are informed
  • Communicate with principles keeping them informed on the status of their escrow
  • Coordinate review of all title commitments
  • Prepare and/ or coordinate the preparation of the documents necessary for closing
  • Review title commitments and address the requirements to be satisfied
  • Order demands for any and all monetary encumbrances to be paid at close of escrow
  • Prepare closing statements
  • Disburse funds at the close of escrow
  • Coordinate the recording of documents at close of escrow
  • Coordinate issuance of title polices with the title department
  • Prepare and send out closing packages to buyer(s), seller(s), broker(s), attorney(s), and lender(s)
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5-10 years of experience in the escrow field
  • Must have experience with SoftPro and smartVIEW
  • Residential escrow experience
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Preferred Experience

  • Residential Real Estate Transactions
National Closing Experience Pay:
$34.00 - $40.00 per hour
