As we scale our multifamily business, we are focused on developing a best-in-class organization grounded in credit discipline, portfolio performance, and client engagement. Team Overview The Asset Management team is responsible for the ongoing credit oversight and administration of the firm's agency loan portfolio, from closing through payoff. The group plays a critical role in managing risk, maintaining compliance with agency requirements, and ensuring a high-quality borrower experience. Role Summary The Multifamily Agency Sr. Loan Asset Manager will take on lead responsibility for complex transactions, portfolio risk management, and credit decision-making within the platform. This individual will serve as a senior resource across the team, providing guidance on structuring borrower requests, interpreting Agency requirements, and managing higher-risk situations. This role is designed for an experienced professional who can exercise independent judgment, approve transactions within delegated authority, and contribute to the broader development of asset management strategy and standards. Key Responsibilities Transaction Leadership & Credit Oversight Lead the review, structuring, and approval of complex borrower requests in alignment with loan documents, agency guidelines, and internal risk frameworks Exercise delegated approval authority on transactions, including escalations from junior team members Oversee and resolve sophisticated requests such as: Material loan modifications and maturity extensions Loan assumptions and structured ownership transitions Significant collateral releases and reconfigurations Complex lease approvals and third-party agreements Insurance loss scenarios and capital redeployment Evaluate credit implications of borrower requests, ensuring consistent application of risk standards and preservation of asset value Partner with legal, agency representatives, and senior leadership on non-routine or precedent-setting transactions Portfolio Management & Risk Monitoring Maintain active oversight of assigned portfolio segments, with a focus on credit performance, emerging risks, and compliance trends Work with Subservicers on certain requests and approvals Identify and proactively manage loans exhibiting performance deterioration or heightened risk characteristics Lead or contribute to watchlist discussions, asset-level strategies, and resolution planning Review financial performance, operating trends, and market conditions to support ongoing credit assessments and the risk rating of the portfolio Ensure adherence to agency requirements, reporting obligations, and internal controls Team Leadership & Mentorship Serve as a senior point of contact for junior asset managers, providing guidance on consent request considerations and workflow prioritization Review work product and provide feedback to ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy across the team Support onboarding and development of team members, contributing to a strong, scalable organizational foundation Platform Development & Strategic Initiatives Contribute to the design and refinement of processes, approval frameworks, and risk management protocols Work with manager on drafting appropriate policies and procedures for the team Partner with leadership on portfolio analytics, performance tracking, and reporting enhancements Drive improvements in data integrity, technology integration, and operational efficiency Collaborate across originations, underwriting, capital markets, and servicing/asset management to ensure alignment across the loan lifecycle Client & Stakeholder Engagement Act as a senior liaison with borrowers, sponsors, and key counterparties, particularly in complex or sensitive situations Provide clear, solutions-oriented communication while maintaining discipline around credit standards and GSE requirements Build and maintain relationships with agency stakeholders and external partners Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, economics, or related discipline 5+ years of relevant experience in commercial real estate asset management, loan servicing, or underwriting, with a strong multifamily focus Demonstrated experience handling complex GSE servicing transactions and borrower requests Deep familiarity with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac asset management frameworks and requirements Core Competencies Advanced understanding of multifamily credit fundamentals and loan structures, with the ability to assess nuanced risk scenarios Proven ability to make independent, well-reasoned credit decisions within established guidelines Strong leadership presence with the ability to mentor team members and influence outcomes across functions Highly developed analytical capabilities, including financial statement analysis and scenario evaluation Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in articulating credit positions and transaction rationale Ability to manage complex, high-impact situations under time constraints Strategic mindset with interest in platform growth, process optimization, and long-term portfolio performance High degree of professionalism, accountability, and sound judgment

This role can be located anywhere in the U.S. Pay Range (Depending upon relatable skills and experience): $150,000 - $175,000Benefits:
