Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Loan Officer - II to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in originating, underwriting, and managing commercial loan portfolios. Your expertise in financial analysis, industry regulations, and customer relationship building will drive our mission to provide exceptional banking solutions while ensuring compliance with all loan regulations. Duties Evaluate and analyze commercial loan applications by conducting credit analysis, risk assessment, and industry research to determine borrower eligibility. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication, understanding their financial needs, and offering tailored lending solutions. Negotiate loan terms and contracts that align with bank policies and regulatory standards while maximizing value for both the bank and clients. Utilize Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and financial software to process applications efficiently, ensuring accuracy in documentation and compliance. Ensure adherence to Fair Housing regulations, TILA (Truth in Lending Act), FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines, and other industry-specific compliance standards throughout the lending process. Collaborate with underwriting teams to review financial statements, credit reports, escrow details, and collateral appraisals for risk assessment. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations related to commercial lending, mortgage servicing, and financial compliance to support sound decision-making. Experience Proven experience as a Commercial Loan Officer or in a similar financial sales role within banking or mortgage lending environments. Strong understanding of loan origination processes, underwriting procedures, and industry regulations such as
TILA, FNMA
standards, and fair housing laws. Demonstrated ability in negotiation, relationship building, customer service, and client communication. Proficiency with Loan Origination Systems (LOS), accounting software, mortgage servicing platforms, and basic math skills including 10-key typing accuracy. Knowledge of credit analysis techniques specific to risk management in commercial lending scenarios. Experience working within banking regulatory compliance frameworks related to retail and commercial lending practices. Ability to analyze financial statements accurately using industry-standard tools like Quicken or other financial software. $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
