Mortgage Loan Originator NOTE:
THIS POSITION MAY BE FILLED IN GULFPORT, MS, HATTIESBURG, MS, OR MOBILE, AL. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION. RCLF
is looking for a motivated and service-driven Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team. In this role, you'll help borrowers navigate the residential mortgage process from application through closing, providing expert guidance, clear communication, and exceptional support every step of the way. What You'll Do As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will: Guide borrowers through the loan process from origination to closing and post-closing. Review and verify income, assets, credit, and supporting documentation to determine loan eligibility. Communicate credit decisions, loan terms, pricing, and affordability in a clear and professional manner. Gather and organize documentation, request additional items as needed, and submit required disclosures. Partner with secondary market investors to ensure loans meet program guidelines. Identify down payment assistance opportunities and help prepare required funding documents. Work closely with processors, underwriters, Realtors, and closing attorneys to keep loans moving smoothly. Analyze market rates and loan programs to help deliver the best possible solution for both the borrower and the company. Apply knowledge of conventional, government, and Non-QM products, along with relevant federal and state regulations. Use automated underwriting systems and loan tools to support an efficient, accurate loan process. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, a team player, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, paperless environment. You should enjoy helping people, thrive under deadlines, and bring a strong balance of sales ability, compliance awareness, and customer service. Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of mortgage loan origination experience. Experience using Calyx Point Loan Software. High school diploma or equivalent. Active Mississippi and Alabama Mortgage Loan Originator License through NMLS, in good standing. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Solid analytical, reading, writing, and math skills. Knowledge of processing, underwriting, closing, post-closing, and mortgage disclosure requirements. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Calyx Point Central Loan Software, and Adobe Pro. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.
