$18.91 / hour Summary The Consumer Loan Officer will help members realize their financial dreams through excellent member service and consumer lending. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct member consumer lending in a strong sales and service environment that will foster long-term financial relationships with our membership and promote loan growth Review pipeline applications and conduct queue management to maximize production, meet stated service quality and production levels, and treat all inter-departmental and member referrals as a high priority Assure high quality service and delivery by providing excellent member service and product knowledge Demonstrate teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities. Always demonstrate a positive member service focus. Maintain a professional and friendly manner when contacting members, co-workers, and guests directly. Consistent usage of the members name during contact and always thanking them for their business. Works to develop strong relationships with members to ensure continued financial partnerships. Answer incoming phone and video calls and directly assist members with all consumer lending requests in a timely and professional manner. Continue to develop a strong knowledge of regulations, procedures, and compliance as it applies to member service and loans including BSA, Red Flags, UDAAP, Lending Policies, and Lending Matrixes. Performs functions necessary relative to consumer lending, including data input and loan funding Perform, prepare, and obtain all necessary verification and documentation for products and services, and obtain any other documentation relevant to lending file. Ensures accuracy in responding to member requests the first time. Maintain knowledge of and can successfully handle various materials and products such as, but not limited to, consumer loan applications, title work, MMP and GAP policies, and debt cancellation. Serves as a point of contact and subject matter expert with staff from all branches and other departments as needed and ensures account-monitoring standards are provided. Troubleshoots and/or escalates complex issues to supervisor/manager or appropriate business owners, while exercising independent judgement and decision-making Actively participates in credit union-wide projects and/or committees. Work in conjunction with management to minimize findings from various internal and external quality control, auditors, and examiners. Knowledge of Credit Union security procedures; immediately notifies supervisor/manager of any irregularities. Dispose of obsolete files in accordance with established retention schedule or legal requirements. Properly update all necessary CIP information in the core processor for prime and joint members and customers on all accounts for all transactions. Report all suspicious activity to the BSA Officer or the BSA Specialist Other duties as assigned by department supervisor and manager, Senior Management, and President/CEO Ensures that individual quarterly goals are met as outlined in the incentive plan and monthly scorecard. Review all loan applications for Red Flags according to BSA and Identity Theft Red Flag procedures. Report all suspicious activity to the Risk Management department via the compliance group email.
