AVP, Commercial Real Estate Dollar Bank, FSB United States, Ohio, Cleveland Sep 02, 2026

The AVP, Commercial Real Estate is responsible for generating, underwriting and managing a portfolio of commercial real estate loans. This individual will provide quality customer service and satisfaction while at the same time meeting a high level of credit quality consistent with the objectives of the Bank. This will be reflected in the accuracy, reliability, creativity, and consistency shown in analyzing, servicing and managing portfolios while effectively providing structural alternatives to customer loan requests.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field is required. Will consider commensurate experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate including negotiating loan terms with customers and prospects, analyzing data, and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Must have excellent math and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent and sound decisions.
Essential Functions:
  • Negotiate loans for investment properties through owners and developers of commercial real estate and residential development.
  • Obtain and analyze pertinent financial, credit and market data to determine the borrowers/guarantors credit worthiness and recommend terms and conditions of loan structure.
  • Perform site inspections to ensure stability and integrity of the property.
  • Review and present loan proposals for all appropriate committee approvals, which includes working with loan analysts and underwriting.
  • Ensure that appraisal, flood certifications and other required documents are ordered prior to funding.
  • Work with outside legal counsel to complete the real estate closing process by ensuring the proper preparation of required loan documents. Participate in closings of loans to ensure bank's approval is documented to the agreed upon structure of the loan.
  • Manage, daily, all customer relationships assigned by Bank. Includes monitoring other Bank related services within these relationships.
  • Read trade publications, business newspapers, and economic forecasts and participate in appropriate trade organizations in order to develop an awareness of economic activity, current events and local ongoing activities in the real estate industry. Evaluate this market information as to its impact on real estate and banking industry.
  • Perform additional assignments as requested.
