Job Description

This is a hybrid position based in Vancouver, WA and the surrounding area.

Compensation is a base salary of $42,000.00 plus commission.
Primary Duties:
Source and develop mortgage leads by actively networking, leveraging your existing book of business, cultivating realtor and community relationships, and collaborating with branch staff to generate applications that convert to funded loansProactively consult with members to understand their home financing needs, take complete and accurate mortgage applications, and guide them through options that align with Unitus products and lending guidelinesBuild strong referral relationships with assigned and surrounding branches, earning the trust of branch teams to drive a steady flow of quality referrals and mortgage opportunitiesRegularly participate in external business development activities (e.g., community events, local chambers, networking functions) to expand visibility and drive new purchase and refinance businessMaintain up-to-date knowledge of Unitus mortgage products, pricing, procedures, and systems, and follow all compliance, regulatory, and documentation requirementsBalance time between working in branches, remotely, and in the community to effectively manage your pipeline, prospecting activities, and member appointmentsConsistently meet or exceed mortgage production goals (units and volume) while contributing to overall sales, service, and efficiency objectivesAs an ideal candidate, you will have:

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience Prior experience in mortgage, real estate, banking, or a similar sales-focused financial services role; at least 3 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer/Originator or comparable position strongly preferredDemonstrated success in outbound sales, networking, and building a personal book of business, with the drive to source leads and convert them into funded loansStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with a member-service mindset and the ability to build trusted relationships with members, branch staff, and community partnersComfort using technology and internal systems to take applications, manage a pipeline, and stay organized in a fast-paced, production-based environmentAbility to be certified and maintain registration through NMLS as required for mortgage originationsWillingness to travel on a regular basis within the areas Unitus servesBilingual skills (especially Spanish/English) are preferred.
