Mortgage Underwriter / Loan Processor Milwaukee, WI | Full-Time | Hybrid Own the homeownership journey for first-time buyers from pre-approval through closing.   • Support and manage the loan origination process from application and preapproval through underwriting and closing
  • Process residential mortgage loans and collect required documentation
  • Guide borrowers through the lending process and provide ongoing communication
  • Manage loan conditions, appraisals, title work, and insurance requirements
  • Coordinate and facilitate loan closings
  • Maintain accurate records within CRM and loan origination systems
  • Partner with homebuyer counselors, realtors, and community partners
  • Ensure loan files, disclosures, underwriting decisions, and borrower communications comply with all applicable federal and state lending regulations and organizational policies What You Bring
  • 3+ years of mortgage underwriting, processing, loan origination, or lending experience
  • Experience reviewing and evaluating mortgage loan files with a strong understanding of mortgage compliance, regulatory requirements, and lending documentation
  • Experience with loan origination and/or underwriting software
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred
  • Manual underwriting experience
  • Experience with manual underwriting and compliance review in a regulated lending environment
  • Affordable housing, nonprofit, credit union, or community lending experience
  • Salesforce experience
