Summary:
Under the direction of the Commercial Lending Administration Manager this position provides administrative and credit support for business, commercial, and commercial real estate loans. Responsibilities include tracking expired insurance, delinquent property taxes, UCCs, and loans transitioning from interest-only to principal-and-interest payments, as well as releasing collateral on paid-off loans. Will also assist with participation loans and making payments. This role also helps monitor loan history and addresses maintenance issues on loans. The CLA will also help borrowers as needed and ensure they have everything they need and assist in making sure they are following the rules of the loan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for selling and cross-selling Credit Union services to current and potential members. Credit Union services are to be promoted using the "member benefit-based approach". Fully complies with the requirements of all Credit Union policies, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act and OFAC Policies. Track expired Insurance and reach out to insurance agent or borrower to get updated insurance. Track unpaid property taxes Review loans for past due status Track loans that are transitioning from interest-only to P&I Monitors and processes rate option changes during the life of the loan Track all UCC filings and releases Releasing collateral on paid off loans Preparation of partial releases Monitoring participation loans and making monthly payments. Help to address any maintenance issues on all business and commercial loans Will help with the performance of all business systems and implantation of systems Will help with departmental invoices and processing May perform various other administration duties as requested Supervisory Responsibilities There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position Qualifications Education & Experience 4 or more years in lending preferably in commercial lending, with loan administration or applicable real estate related experience or training; equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree in business administration from an accredited four -year college or university. Working knowledge of general loan documentation, loan processes and procedures, lending policies, compliance and lending regulations Working knowledge of computers, and various word processing, spreadsheet usage, and related software Technical Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) . Experience with Outlook email and calendar Experience with Banking software or similar financial services systems (preferred) . Ability to use digital banking platforms (online and mobile banking tools) . Other Skills Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey financial information clearly and concisely. Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and problem-solving ability.
Physical Demands:
May be required to stand, use hands, and reach with arms. May be required to walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch; occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Requires ability to communicate effectively in person, on the phone, and via digital channels.
