Full Job Description Description:
Crowne Plaza North Augusta is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor. The supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department and ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently meet the hotel's cleanliness, presentation, safety, and brand standards. This position provides day-to-day leadership to Housekeeping associates, inspects completed work, assists with training and coaching, manages departmental assignments, and works closely with other hotel departments to ensure rooms are clean, inspected, and available for guests in a timely manner. The Housekeeping Supervisor is expected to lead by example, maintain a professional and positive work environment, and demonstrate StepStone Hospitality's mission, values, policies, and service standards at all times. Leadership and Supervision Supervise and provide daily direction to Room Attendants, Housepersons, Laundry Attendants, Inspectors, and other Housekeeping associates as assigned. Assist with daily opening and closing procedures for the Housekeeping Department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper or other department leadership. Prepare and distribute daily room assignments, keys, boards, and other required work materials. Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and communicate occupancy levels, VIP arrivals, special requests, operational priorities, safety information, and other relevant updates. Monitor associate productivity, attendance, performance, and adherence to established departmental procedures. Provide ongoing coaching, training, feedback, and recognition to Housekeeping associates. Address performance or conduct concerns promptly and communicate significant issues to the Executive Housekeeper and/or Human Resources. Assist with onboarding and training new Housekeeping associates. Promote teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and positive communication throughout the department. Lead by example and maintain professional behavior and appearance at all times. Room Inspection and Quality Assurance Inspect guest rooms following cleaning to ensure all rooms meet hotel, brand, cleanliness, sanitation, presentation, and quality standards before being released for guest occupancy. Conduct detailed inspections of guestrooms, bathrooms, linens, furniture, flooring, appliances, fixtures, and amenities. Identify deficiencies and ensure corrective action is completed before the room is released. Perform follow-up inspections when necessary. Monitor recurring quality issues and provide additional coaching or retraining to associates as appropriate. Ensure guestrooms are properly stocked and that required amenities and supplies are available. Assist in maintaining readiness for brand inspections, quality assurance evaluations, AAA inspections, and other hotel audits.
Requirements:
Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment required. Previous supervisory, lead, inspector, or leadership experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures, guest room cleaning standards, sanitation practices, and quality inspection processes. Ability to inspect guest rooms carefully and identify cleanliness, maintenance, linen, and presentation deficiencies. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills. Ability to accurately document and communicate information. Ability to use hotel systems, email, computers, and standard office software. Must be able to follow StepStone Hospitality and hotel policies, procedures, safety requirements, and brand standards. Must be dependable and able to maintain regular and punctual attendance. Ability to communicate effectively with guests, associates, management, and vendors.
