Job Description

Job Summary The Loan Officer Assistant is an intermediate-level position within the Sales department. The Loan Officer Assistant supports mortgage loan originators by managing administrative tasks, preparing loans files, maintaining contact with clients, and ensuring a compliant and efficient loan origination process. The Loan Officer Assistant works under general direction of their assigned Loan Officer and is fully responsible for managing administrative functions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assists with gathering all initial documentation required (e.g., 1003, paystubs, W-2's, asset statements, etc.) based upon the customer's selected loan program and inputs into the Company proprietary system Act as the main contact for borrowers, answering questions and updating them on the status of their loan. Prepare loan files for submission to processing and/or underwriting, assisting in resolution of underwriting conditions. Supports assigned loan officers with other various tasks, including marketing campaigns, preparation of documents, scheduling meetings and closings, etc. Other responsibilities, as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Associates degree with an emphasis in Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Experience within Mortgage industry, or an understanding of mortgage products and guidelines. Experience working in Encompass LOS. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking. Strong written and verbal communication skills, in order to effectively with customers and team members. Work Environment Work is performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available as needed. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel the computer; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
