Job Description

Job Summary:
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and has strong written and verbal communication skills. You must have good analytical and problem-solving skills, and you should have the ability to anticipate problems before they arise, to have comprehend and write instructions, and correspondence with proper punctuation, spelling, grammar and the drive to deliver superior customer service. Must have ability to consistently meet deadlines, demonstrate strong follow through, and to follow departmental procedures. Candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-oriented environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Examine public records like deeds, mortgages, liens, and tax records. Identify title defects such as unreleased mortgages, title defects, other lines affecting specific property(ies). Coordinate solutions with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, closing agents, and attorneys. Write title commitments and policy reports required for closing. Entity documents will be required to be reviewed and approved prior to closing. Ensure compliance with state property laws and underwriting. Closing daily transactions, obtain updates and review closing packages. Work closely with various state Underwriters to address and solve complex transactions.
Interface with customers:
escrow, lenders, and attorneys via phone and email Communicate with vendors via phone, email and proprietary programs Monitor email and proprietary systems Abstract documents for recording Prepare proforma policies Complete policies
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent 6+ years of experience as a Title Officer Residential and Commercial Title experience Strong organizational skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook National experience helpful
Pay:
$30.00 - $38.00 per hour
