The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience closing commercial loan transactions in a law firm, bank, or other commercial lending environment. This individual should be comfortable managing multiple transactions, communicating directly with attorneys and lender clients, and helping move deals efficiently from approval through closing and funding.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing commercial loan and closing documents Ordering and reviewing title commitments and related title documentation Ordering, reviewing, and interpreting UCC, lien, judgment, and other due diligence searches Preparing and balancing settlement statements and disbursement schedules Reviewing organizational documents and other closing due diligence Coordinating signatures, funding requirements, and closing logistics Working directly with attorneys, lenders, title companies, borrowers, and other transaction participants Assisting in building and managing closing checklist items, deadlines, and closing requirements Assisting with post-closing documentation and follow-up Helping ensure transactions close accurately, efficiently, and on schedule
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial loan closing experience Bachelor's degree or paralegal degree/certificate required Experience with commercial lending transactions and loan documentation Strong understanding of title, UCC searches, lien perfection, and commercial closing procedures Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to independently manage multiple transactions and competing deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with a customer service-oriented approach Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications for document preparation and communication SBA lending experience is strongly preferred, but candidates with significant conventional commercial lending experience are encouraged to apply This role is ideal for a motivated professional eager to contribute their expertise in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional service throughout the closing process.
