Job Description
Position Summary PBT Bancorp is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor to join our growing lending team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and commercial loan processing and be capable of managing loans from application through closing in a fast-paced banking environment.
Join our dynamic financial services team as a Loan Processor, where your expertise will drive the seamless flow of mortgage loan transactions. In this vital role, you will be the key link between loan origination and approval, ensuring all documentation and underwriting processes are meticulously handled to meet regulatory standards and client expectations. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help facilitate smooth loan processing, contributing directly to our mission of providing exceptional service and reliable financing solutions. Key Responsibilities Review and verify loan application documents, ensuring completeness and accuracy in accordance with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and other regulatory requirements. Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, and clients to gather necessary information for loan approval processes. Conduct thorough credit analysis, assessing borrower financials, credit reports, and debt-to-income ratios to determine eligibility. Prepare and process loan documentation, including TILA (Truth in Lending Act) disclosures, contracts, escrow instructions, and other legal paperwork. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and mortgage servicing standards throughout the loan lifecycle. Utilize basic math skills and 10-key typing proficiency to accurately calculate figures related to loan amounts, interest rates, escrow payments, and amortization schedules. Maintain detailed records of all processing activities, ensuring timely submission for underwriting review and approval. Process residential, retail, 1-4 family, and commercial/CRE mortgage loans Monitor pipeline and maintain timely communication on loan status Maintain strong customer service throughout the transaction Qualifications 5-7 years' experience in loan processing within the financial services or mortgage industry required Familiarity with FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, and mortgage origination processes is essential Knowledge of banking operations, credit analysis techniques, and mortgage servicing practices will set you apart Experience with TILA regulations, contracts management, escrow procedures, and Fair Housing laws is highly desirable Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Basic math proficiency combined with excellent 10-key typing skills to ensure accuracy in calculations and data entry.
