We are hiring a loan processor for our Funding department. We offer a great benefit package including paid parking in our building located in Metairie. Standard office hours are 8:00am-5:00pm, but during peak season in the spring some later hours and Saturday hours may apply. Position Summary Loan Processor provides a complete review of automobile loans and support needed to close and fund the loans. Essential Job Functions Manage individual queue with loan pipeline for processing. Review packages for errors and missing documentation and request from Dealers in a timely manner. Analyze customer signed loan documentation to ensure satisfaction with company guidelines (e.g., appropriate descriptions, signatures, and dates). Obtain any missing information to complete required file documentation. Meet processing time frames, as provided. Communicate any necessary exceptions to credit department for review. Maintain data integrity within front end origination systems; Megasys, Automatic USA and any other systems used. Follow Company policy, procedures, and guidelines. Adapt to and understand the daily operations of the Loan Processing group. Other duties assigned to complete by any member of management. Work overtime and Saturdays as needed. Required Skills/Abilities Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Demonstrate effectiveness in working well within a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high sense of urgency. Excellent time-management skills to manage a large volume of tasks while providing excellent internal and external customer service. Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality. Demonstrate initiative to accomplish work objectives. Work effectively and demonstrate flexibility in a continually changing environment. Demonstrate effective organization, critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills. Work without close supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Attention to detail. Computer skills include use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as ability to learn and utilize other information systems. Maintain good punctuality and attendance to be at work. Education/Experience Two or more years of experience and a proven track record of in-depth review of loan documentation highly preferred. General experience in these areas is highly desired: loan processing, loan administration, loan funding and/or booking and loan documentation review. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds at times. Occasional walking and standing. Typing and applying pressure with fingers. Speaking, listening. Close visual acuity to view computer monitor.
