Job Title:
Loan Assistant Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Overview As a Loan Assistant at Cowboy First Bank, you'll play a vital role in supporting our lending team and delivering an exceptional customer experience. You'll work closely with loan officers to prepare, process, and service consumer, commercial, agricultural, and real estate loans while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely communication throughout the lending process. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys helping customers through one of the most important financial decisions they'll make. What You'll Do Assist loan officers with preparing and processing consumer, commercial, agricultural, and real estate loans from application through closing. Collect, organize, and review financial information and required documentation from borrowers. Prepare loan documentation and ensure files are complete, accurate, and compliant with bank policies and regulations. Communicate with customers to request documentation, provide status updates, and answer questions throughout the loan process. Order appraisals, title work, flood determinations, insurance, and other third-party reports as needed. Coordinate loan closings and ensure all required documents are properly executed and filed. Assist with loan renewals, modifications, advances, and ongoing loan servicing. Maintain accurate electronic and physical loan files. Work with internal departments to ensure timely booking and funding of loans. Provide administrative support to loan officers and assist with other branch operations as needed. Build strong relationships with customers by providing prompt, professional, and friendly service. Basic Qualifications Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Preferred Qualifications Previous banking, lending, loan processing, or financial services experience preferred. Familiarity with consumer, commercial, agricultural, or mortgage lending processes. Knowledge of banking regulations and loan documentation. Strong typing and computer skills.
