Mortgage Loan Processor

Job Description

Hourly PLUS Per File Bonus. In-person job . Looking for a seasoned Home-Loan / Mortgage Processor with 5+ years of experience working for a mortgage company. Join our company as a Mortgage Loan Processor, where your expertise will drive the seamless processing of mortgage and loan closings. We work with traditional resale business and builder business. This processor will carry a pipeline of 25+ loans that are in a combination of active status, plus files that are a few months out from closing (due to our new build products). Picking up the phone and communicating with clients primarily by phone, secondarily by email, and sometimes via text (from our CRM) is a prerequisite. typing test and a background check will be completed prior to hiring! In this role, you will coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, and clients to ensure accurate and timely loan approvals. Your attention to detail and knowledge of loan origination processes will help us deliver exceptional service while adhering to industry regulations. VERIFY documentation that uploaded matches the underwriter's request. Gather and analyze borrower financial information, including credit reports, income verification, and asset documentation. Prepare and submit loan packages for underwriting approval, ensuring all necessary information is complete and accurate. Communicate with borrowers , loan officers, underwriters, and title companies

  • to facilitate smooth processing and resolve any discrepancies or issues. Maintain detailed records of each loan's progress through the processing cycle, including escrow details and contract documentation. Use our LOS

  • to ensure detailed notes are in the system for underwriters & loan-officers to review.
Conduct basic math calculations for debt-to-income ratios, escrow estimates, and other financial assessments essential for loan approval. Skills Strong understanding of FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, and mortgage servicing processes. You MUST have been a full-time processor who has taken a file from initial disclosures to closing for 5-years prior to applying for this job. Proficiency in loan origination systems and mortgage processing software. Excellent credit analysis skills with the ability to interpret credit reports accurately. Familiarity with title procedures, bank contracts, and basic math skills including 10-key typing for data entry. Ability to complete tasks and proactively manage a pipeline while maintaining high accuracy under tight deadlines.
