Position Summary The Overnight Front Office Host is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service during overnight hours while ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of the hotel. This role combines front desk guest service responsibilities with night audit functions, balancing daily hotel transactions and preparing reports for the next business day. Front Office associates are responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This highly visible role gives opportunity for casual conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience. Other duties may include processing forms of payment and responding to guest inquires. You'll be the face of Hyatt as a Front Office Associate. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide efficient check-in and check-out services. Process guest registrations, room assignments, and payment transactions. Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions, requests, and concerns. Communicate hotel services, amenities, promotions, and local area information. Complete nightly audit procedures and reconcile daily financial transactions. Prepare and distribute required overnight reports. Maintain accurate guest records and reservation information. Report any unusual activity or safety concerns. Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to meet guest needs. Handle phone calls, reservations, and internal communications during overnight hours. Ensure the front desk and lobby areas remain organized and presentable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn hotel operating systems. Ability to accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and financial reconciliation. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent problem-solving and guest recovery skills. Must be dependable, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality.
