Job Description
Night Auditor Night Auditor at River Terrace Inn located in the heart of the Napa Valley Come work and be part of the RTI team (River Terrace Inn). Our Napa River waterfront location includes 114 rooms, a fitness center and home to the ALBA Restaurant. The RTI is located within walking distance of restaurants, the Culinary Institute of America, Oxbow Public Market, the Napa Valley Wine Train and many other fun filled attractions.
DESCRIPTION
The Night Auditor Audits, balances and reports on the various areas of the hotel (e.g. food & beverage outlets, rooms/front desk, etc.) to provide accurate, timely information and to ensure accounting policies and procedures are followed. Acts as Manager-On-Duty during the overnight shift handling complaints and responding to emergency situations ensuring compliance of all procedures and guidelines established by management. Handle noise complaints, credit problems, guest relocation, and rejection of undesirables; field guest complaints, listen and provide assistance to resolve any problems that may arise utilizing diplomacy and good judgment. Responds to hotel emergencies immediately in a calm and effective manner in coordination with staff and other employees on duty consistent with the policies and guidelines. Perform the duties of a Front Desk Agent including express checkouts when needed.EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience as a night auditor. Ability to operate various office equipment (computer, phone, copier, printer, etc.) Must possess good knowledge of computerized hotel systems and other software such as MS Excel, MS Word. Must be a positive team player. Ability to compile facts and figures with the ability to analyze moderately complex mathematical calculations. Good written/verbal communication skills. Must maintain a warm and friendly demeanor. Maintains composure and objectivity when needed. Exceptional telephone and guest relations etiquette and skills. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays, as determined by business needs.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, walk, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. THE JOB As the Night Auditor you will report to the Hotel Manager and work closely with the General Manager, accounting and other departments as needed. Prior experience as a Night Auditor. Ability to be a clear thinker, multi-task, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgement. Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy, prioritize and organize. Maintain a high level of confidentiality, work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team, motivating, engaging, and empowering team members.
