The historic Delta King Hotel is looking for a reliable, customer-focused Front Desk Clerk / Night Auditor to join our team. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys providing exceptional guest service while ensuring the accuracy of nightly hotel operations. As the face of the hotel during overnight hours, you'll welcome guests, assist with reservations and check-ins, complete nightly audit procedures, and help ensure every guest enjoys an outstanding experience aboard our unique floating hotel. This is a full-time/part-time overnight position with opportunities to pick up additional shifts as needed. Position Summary The Front Desk Clerk / Night Auditor is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while performing front desk operations and completing the hotel's nightly accounting and audit procedures. This role includes checking guests in and out, processing reservations, handling payments, balancing daily financial transactions, and maintaining accurate hotel records. The successful candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable working independently overnight.
Schedule Requirements This position requires:
Friday and Saturday overnight availability (required) Overnight shifts Weekend and holiday availability as business needs dictate Flexibility to cover additional shifts when needed Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform nightly audit procedures in accordance with Delta King standards. Welcome guests with friendly, professional customer service. Check guests in and out efficiently and accurately. Make, modify, and confirm hotel reservations. Assign guest rooms and issue room keys. Process guest payments and maintain accurate guest accounts. Balance daily revenue and complete end-of-day accounting reports. Prepare nightly audit paperwork and financial documentation. Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve concerns professionally. Communicate effectively with management and all hotel departments regarding guest needs and operational updates. Maintain an organized and professional front desk. Promote hotel amenities, restaurant offerings, and local attractions to enhance the guest experience. Assist with additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 1-2 years of hotel front desk or hotel night audit experience. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn hotel management systems. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight shifts. Reliable transportation and excellent attendance record. Open availability for overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.
