The Night Auditor is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while completing the daily audit and overnight accounting processes. This role ensures the accuracy of financial transactions, balances daily revenue, prepares required reports, and supports Front Desk operations during the overnight shift. The Night Auditor plays a vital role in maintaining operational excellence by providing professional guest service, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and preparing the hotel for the following business day. This position partners closely with the Overnight Supervisor and Overnight Manager to ensure a seamless overnight operation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Guest Experience & Service Excellence Provide exceptional, professional, and personalized guest service throughout the overnight shift. Welcome late arrivals and assist with guest check-in and check-out procedures. Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and service recovery situations promptly and professionally. Assist with room assignments, room moves, and guest account inquiries. Maintain a welcoming, organized, and professional Front Desk environment. Uphold The Nora Hotel's luxury service standards during every guest interaction. Night Audit & Front Office Operations Complete the nightly audit process in accordance with hotel policies and procedures. Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions, guest accounts, and payment activity. Verify room revenue, taxes, adjustments, and other hotel charges for accuracy. Generate and distribute required daily financial and operational reports. Process end-of-day procedures and system rollovers within the property management system. Ensure guest accounts, billing, and payment information are accurate and complete. Maintain accurate records of overnight transactions and operational activity. Prepare the Front Desk for the morning shift and ensure a smooth operational handoff. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate documentation of overnight activities and guest concerns. Report operational issues, maintenance concerns, and guest follow-up items to the Overnight Supervisor. Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures and financial controls. Safeguard confidential guest and hotel information. Safety & Compliance Follow hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures. Monitor guest access and report suspicious activity or security concerns. Complete incident reports as required. Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and secure environment for guests and associates. Qualifications Previous Front Desk or Night Audit experience preferred. Experience in an upscale or luxury hotel environment preferred. Previous new hotel opening experience preferred. Strong knowledge of StayNTouch PMS or similar property management systems preferred. Basic understanding of accounting principles and Night Audit procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving and guest service skills. Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to work overnight in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
