Job Description
Night Auditor This hotel is professionally managed by Ignite Hotels, a hospitality management company operating select-service and extended-stay properties across multiple states. About the Role The Night Auditor provides guest service during overnight hours while completing daily audit and reporting functions. This role supports smooth overnight operations and guest safety. Essential Functions Greet and assist guests during overnight check-in and check-out. Complete nightly audit procedures and balance daily financial transactions. Prepare and distribute daily reports for management. Handle guest requests and resolve concerns professionally during overnight hours. Ensure compliance with cash handling, credit card processing, and audit procedures. Maintain brand, product, and service standards at the front desk and lobby. Monitor the property overnight to support guest safety and security. Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for early morning needs or urgent issues. Answer phones, manage emails, and respond to guest inquiries. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience Customer service or hospitality experience preferred; night audit or hotel front desk experience a plus. Basic accounting, cash handling, or audit experience preferred. Education High school diploma or GED required. Skills & Abilities Comfortable working independently overnight. Strong attention to detail and accuracy with financial tasks. Calm, professional approach to guest concerns and problem-solving. Basic computer skills; PMS experience (Opera, Hotel Key, Choice Advantage, etc.) a plus. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Availability Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods, walk the property, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Work Environment This position operates in a hotel environment with frequent guest interaction and a fast-paced operational setting.
