Job Description
The Hotel Northampton and the Fairfield Inn & Suites are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Hotel Night Auditor to join our team. The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the overnight shift. This position involves a combination of front desk responsibilities, accounting tasks, and administrative duties, making it essential for the candidate to possess strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- 1.
Front Desk Operations:
- Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout the night. Check guests in and out efficiently, ensuring compliance with hotel policy and procedure. Address and resolve guest inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely manner. 2.
Accounting Responsibilities:
- Perform nightly audits of the hotel's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare and reconcile daily revenue reports, including cash, credit card, and check transactions. Investigate discrepancies and resolve any accounting issues promptly. 3.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain organized records of guest information, reservations, and billing. Input data into the hotel management system accurately and promptly. Generate and distribute necessary reports for management review. 4.
Safety and Security:
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to ensure safety and security protocols are upheld. Monitor and control access to the hotel during the night shift, ensuring the safety of guests and staff. Respond to emergencies or incidents that may arise, following hotel protocols. 5.
Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with day staff to ensure a smooth transition and relay any important information or issues. Work collaboratively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
